Our team is made up of 5 students, 4 of us from Scotland, and 1 from Brazil (currently on exchange from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil).
We are all studying within the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering department at the University of Stathclyde, Glasgow. Our objective for this final year Master’s project is to develop and enter an idea into the Airbus “Fly Your Ideas” (FYI) competition.
For the competition, we will be entering under the name BIRDS (Building Ideas Reaching Dreams) and our supervisor, Dr Matthew Stickland, is acting as an academic mentor. The Airbus FYI competition is designed for teams of students who aim to investigate and develop innovative solutions for the eco-efficient aviation industry.
